Not a totally overwhelming smell, I do not smell it any room of the house after spraying but do if I smell closely to what I have sprayed it on. It certainly gets the cats attention and she seems to love it, and has now stopped scratching my own furniture and focuses more on her own things which is a positive. I only apply it every couple of days even though it seems to be at its most intense for first 30 minutes based on my cats reaction. It clearly has a effect after this time though.
